Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Just in case anyone was wondering, coming to work today was, in fact, the worst. Although at least I'm not in pain.

Dear My Boss:

I am inserting myself into this meeting to HELP YOU. You should not be handling this project. It is totally my job, and you have bigger fish to fry, WHICH YOU SHOULD KNOW BY NOW. You are keeping me out of too many loops, and I don't think it's actually on purpose, but it doesn't actually help any of us.You are quickly approaching the point where you've been here long enough that you should know what's going on.

Warmly,

J

Because books.

Ooh, I like, "Warmly." Just one step away from HEATEDLY, YOU MORON, without actually going there.

I actually do feel personally warm toward her, but I can't decide if I hope she's fucking up because she doesn't know better, or gaslighting me. I mean, I would always prefer not to be gaslighted, but I'd also prefer to have a boss who is smarter than I am.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

FWD: MY BOSS TOO. SRSLY.

Of course, I can't get any work done today anyway because all of my technology is still on vacation.

Things not working: printer, email, SAP, FTP.

Things working: Facebook, B.org.

Who am I to argue with the universe's master plan?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Monday morning finds me in the office. Even though I have an "ergo approved" desk set-up, I swear I'm much more comfortable when I'm working from home.

CJ is home sick. He got slammed with sneezes and coughs and a running nose last night. He was asleep on the couch as I got ready for work. I tried to wake him to see how he was doing and the poor noodle was not doing well. I told him to go back to sleep.

Over the weekend I earned some major points with K-Bug's bf. I was able to score a couple of Avalanche (ice hockey) tickets from a guy at work. I gave them to K-Bug and G as G's Christmas gift since I won't see him at Christmas. While he played it very cool with me, K-Bug said he had a BLAST and told his mom that she has stiff competition for best Christmas present this year.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Good job, Suzi!

Fortunately, I only ache a little bit...my right hip, ankle and back all are a bit hurty, but nothing too bad.

Advil, gentle stretching to make sure you can still move and either heat or ice anywhere in distinct pain. Also, ouch, I am sorry.

I'm trying, but this whole "Monday" thing is not working for me. Though I suppose I am glad and grateful I have a job to go back to?

I have a bunch of stuff I SHOULD be working on, but there's some emails that need to be returned before I can work on them, and those are more interesting things. So CLEARLY I'm not doing the long-procrastinated boring-stuff, but instead on buffistas. CLEARLY.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Seems like this may be the bleariest Monday in human history.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ouch Sue! Ouch Amy!

I need to grade today, many many papers. And one student still hasn't turned in hers, and the semester ends on Friday, at which point her B turns into an F. Oy! I want her to turn in the paper and pass the class, but I have no power to make it happen.
