Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

I guess the nerdiest thing I've done today was attend a talk about "Forgotten inventions of the Victorian era" at Darkovercon.

Wow, that wolf hoodie is frightening.

I had decided that since I don't have to attend any Christmas parties, and it's not a big eating holiday for my family (as in we don't have a big traditional meal I want to gorge on, though we'll probably have a nice one), that I should re-start my diet and exercise plan tomorrow. This is in peril due to finding speculoos spread at Trader Joe's. I want to go buy it. WANT.

In other news, I sent a drama-provoking but possibly necessary and totally awkward email to my umfriend who visited. It was not the most awesomest visit ever, and I'm unclear if that should be a "ok, tried that, failed, let's give up" or a "let's try again and be better at being more awesome". And I know I can't unilaterally decide the latter, and I'm not so sure the former isn't a better idea anyway. But I'm loathe to give up on possibility.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think I am not interested in cluttering my google voice account with my own voice memos

So you have a number dedicated to voice memos?

I only dictate them so I can have the transcribed text in the cloud, NSM the audio.

We need to do that with our cable bill.

Cable bills are a bitch. Who's good at that? Vortex? I don't think I've ever gotten shit, and now I realise I don't remember when my HBO introductory period runs out. I need to go back into my files/the TV listings and see when I signed up. Starz was just ridiculously expensive. I should keep an eye out for a special there.

Kat, do you think if Noah were older he'd make Grace play and be Vader? Or am I just a bad person for thinking that? Because I would totally make my sister with a trache be Vader *all* the time.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

If you're a bad person so am I.

Playing Vader is a privilege not a punishment in our household. I do love that Grace's halloween costume was Darth Vader.

My favorite thing is that when she wants to sign Darth Vader, she signs brother and then does this intense, heavy breath through her trache.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Cable bills are a bitch. Who's good at that? Vortex? I don't think I've ever gotten shit, and now I realise I don't remember when my HBO introductory period runs out.

I think it might be Vortex and I need lessons although technically I am supposed to be dropping cable now that the racing season is over. But lessons might help me get a good deal when all I want is one ridiculously specialized channel. The rest is just baggage. Occasionally awesome baggage but baggage.

Kat, do you think if Noah were older he'd make Grace play and be Vader? Or am I just a bad person for thinking that? Because I would totally make my sister with a trache be Vader *all* the time.

I'd be a bad person too. Grace would be excellently evil and she could boss her brother around!

Oh, man, your kids have totally outnerded you. I don't think there's any catching up to that...

Kat! That cinnamon roll was delicious. I think you've inspired me to try making them. For something I love so much, I've never given the, a shot from scratch. What recipe did you use? What it a time consuming one? I was looking at CI ones. They have a quick one that doesn't look too bad.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Comcast has such a lock on my building that I can only get a better rate by dropping services, and I already wish I had more channels! @@

Because books.

I want this dress and somewhere to wear it. With pink heels!

Pumpkin cinnamon rolls. It wasn't really time consuming because I did the dough the night before I baked them. It's as time consuming as any yeasted bread.

I love making stuff like that, but I don't really eat them. We have a dozen left in the freezer now. Also, since I had to figure out the calories in them for Gracie's blend (600+ per roll), I'm less enamored at the thought of eating one.
