I don't social media much, so I'm thinking it's not much of an investment. But the favouriting and starring sounds cool.
I also set up a phone one: so that I can call a number to leave myself a memo and it will translate my voicemail and email it to me.
Aha. I have Google Voice, so I can do that automatically by calling myself. BEST THING EVER.
I have been combing through my landline and mobile featuresets now that I feel I've gotten a handle on GV, and I've dropped about $30 off my landline (no, I'm not one of those people who thinks they can do without one entirely) and somehow ended up with free national long distance.
I'm going to go through my TMobile features one more time and see what I can pare down. I used to do this recreationally. It's quite fun. I was the phone bill whisperer for friends and family and would get them refunds.
The nerdiest thing I've done today is update firmware.
Ha! I'd love to see anyone else in my immediate family do that. Actually, my sister probably can, no prob, she'd just never bother.
I think my kids have picked up my nerdy slack. Noah is in the living room with a darth vader mask and a foam sword (in penguin jammies) making funny breathing noices. Grace is sittin gin the Big Chair by herself getting a breathing treatment and playing with a kiddie laptop.

We need to do that with our cable bill. Our initial set-up deal is over, and wow, did our bill go up. I have to check when Game of Thrones is coming back, and when the new JDM show is starting on Starz, though.
Didn't need to say it twice.
I am glad you all are picking up the nerd slack.
what has become of me, I cannot even find new things to put on my wish list.
ita, I think I am not interested in cluttering my google voice account with my own voice memos.
I don't mind having a separate number.
The wolf hoodie. And then we had to go back to Beyonce of course.
as one does. Entirely logical. I've done the same.
I guess the nerdiest thing I've done today was attend a talk about "Forgotten inventions of the Victorian era" at Darkovercon.
Wow, that wolf hoodie is frightening.
I had decided that since I don't have to attend any Christmas parties, and it's not a big eating holiday for my family (as in we don't have a big traditional meal I want to gorge on, though we'll probably have a nice one), that I should re-start my diet and exercise plan tomorrow. This is in peril due to finding speculoos spread at Trader Joe's. I want to go buy it. WANT.
In other news, I sent a drama-provoking but possibly necessary and totally awkward email to my umfriend who visited. It was not the most awesomest visit ever, and I'm unclear if that should be a "ok, tried that, failed, let's give up" or a "let's try again and be better at being more awesome". And I know I can't unilaterally decide the latter, and I'm not so sure the former isn't a better idea anyway. But I'm loathe to give up on possibility.
