this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Oh, Zappo's. There are almost too many choices.

Send 27 shoes next Tuesday. Zappos can get them there overnight!

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I think I need to go on a shoe diet. I bought two pairs of clogs from Lands End and now I need to prune shoes, not add more.

UGH. I'm also super pissed because we are having issues with Grace's health aide at school. Since the start of the school year, Grace has lost 10% of her body weight.  Grace receives one meal of her 5 at school.  The school refuses to push her food and will water it down to the point where it can flow freely as a bolus. On the orders/protocols they have, it does state that she should receive food via bolus and the her “trained” health aide refuses to push food at all. Yesterday, for that meal, Grace only received 50 mLs and the “trained” health aide did not flush her g-tube because the water wouldn’t flow in either.

I am ready to go ballistic on my employer.

And if some don't work, isn't there still free shipping back?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You couldn't send anything homemade in Sara's old school in Fulton, but that's a NY State thing, I think, and has to do with ... I don't actually know.

Lack of ingredients/information on the package, I believe.

Because books.

Jesse got it! That's it. Man, my memory is Swiss cheese lately.

27 shoes! You people crack me up. As IF, Sara would let me give away shoes she could play dress-up in.

Understandable because the food is going to other kids. But I also don't put ingredients/information on my kids' bagged lunches. Perhaps schools, like the one in Chicago, will begin banning those too?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks for the invite and the ride offer, Kat. But I'm not company worthy, I don't think. I'm going to hide and try and just come down off the peculiar fake high stress has driven me to.

I called home to speak to my mother tonight and it was too late (I didn't end up leaving work until 6--see what I'm driving myself to?) because my mother was already asleep. My sister answered the phone and she was just exhausted. She's run herself ragged. I think my mother is doing better than my sister is, to be honest.

I'm having asparagus for dinner. Muffin for breakfast, doughnut for (late) lunch, and grilled (broiled, whatever, fuck you) asparagus for dinner. I'm completely working myself up again. It's pretty stupid.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

ita !, I wish there was something we could do to help. Much ~ma to your sister as well as your mother.

Yes, we can be simultaneously invisible, Perkins.

Does anyone here do Black Friday shopping? Is it a real thing? Are the bargains worth lining up overnight for? Not that I ever would, because I tend to work the Friday anyway, and the idea of sleeping on the sidewalk...aieee. I just wonder if it's more hype than anything else.

eta: Thanks, Maria. I'm currently a victim of myself, I think. I gotta get myself down off this.
