Does someone want to come here and make me some?

The gougeres at Artisinal were the best thing about my job at United Way (in the building upstairs).
I have no idea what these are, but holy god, they sound good.
I am Dana in this. Except that now they've been explained. But I was thinking, these sound awesome; how have I never had nor heard of them?? I marked the recipe and Steph's pumpkin bread recipe.
We made four pies today - pumpkin, cherry, apple-bourbon, and a hybrid cherry apple-bourbon pie with leftover filling. All but the pumpkin have delicious streusel on top. The hybrid pie was taste-tested tonight and is yum.
I really need to get off my ass and bake a pie. Argh.
You worked above Artisanal? Lucky girl.
apple-bourbon pie??? holy yum!!!
I think you can make gougeres in a fussier but prettier way with a pastry bag, maybe? I am all about dropping them randomly sized with a spoon! Still always delicious!

I went there surprisingly little, considering. I mean, considering how I feel about cheese! But it's pricy and I didn't really like most of my coworkers.
Yeah, it's not cheap at all. I've been there twice, but spread out over a few years. Definitely time to go back. I have to get S. up there.
I wonder if I could wrangle a night up there for our anniversary this year. I mean, in the city, as well as Artisanal.
Mmmm, pie. I made some last week for various get togethers (granny smith apple and brown sugar, my go-to pie). Tomorrow I'm eating store-bought pumpkin pie from the local hippie co-op.
I'm about to make my famous cranberry sauce for tomorrow's supper with friends. I should have done it hours ago.
I'm also trying to find a babysitter for Bartleby for when I am out of the house tomorrow. Weirdly, things going as well as they have is making it a little worse for the small guy. The sutures are driving him to distraction and I have been advised against doing anything topically to relieve the itching.
So I spend all my time staring at him and shouting LEAVE IT!
Poor doll.
I also thing I'm suffering from bread poisoning. After tomorrow, I'm straight back on the gluten-free wagon that I so spectacularly feel off of over the last two stressful months. My stomach is a mess, yo. Lesson learned.
Happy fooding folks!
