It doesn't feel impulsive to me. You've been thinking about the purchase for a while, and you know what you need. From the photos, it's completely remodeled; it looks really gorgeous. The yard has automated sprinklers, so I think you would be able to manage the maintenance. It being a house not a condo is a big difference, so if that matters to you, I think that's the only big stumbling block. But the house will have more privacy, although more maintenance overall than a condo.

Presumably your realtor brought you to the best option he had on the market that fit your criteria. It's not so hard to believe.

Basically, it's a good realtor that will show you the absolute best place for you right off the top. Sometimes buyers aren't clear with their priorities, and then you get the winnowing process. But I think you know what you want, and the fact that the realtor found it for you is not a bad thing.

Even just with the land? We looked at this lot really early. At the time the board was hesitant, so we didn't offer on it and it went off the market. It came right back on, for ten grand more, so we made the seller a cool profit. But for us, it was well worth it to have the right lot. We have truly loved it here.

I would be sad, but not crushed, I think. I do think it will get sold pretty quickly to somebody, even it's not me, which is making me think I should try to make up my mind quickly.

Yard scenario could be changing to a more actual California landscaping which means tons less water and maintenance. So there could be options there. If you love it and want it.

Perkins, I didnt look at any other houses before buying mine except a few that were on a tour I had to do to get some city money. So I see no reason to write off just because it was the First house! Excited for you!! Good luck!
