See, in my fantasy, when I'm kissing you... you're kissing me. It's okay. I can wait.

Because books.

I'm going to feel really stupid when someone finally explains the Kindle name problem, right?

This is what I'm thinking. I have no clue what the problem is.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I think it's more like kindling ideas. I imagine the fire version wasn't in the works when they named kindle, plus, I have a hard time conceiving the eorld's biggest bookseller and the customers of same are pleased by that suggestion.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Now I'm contemplating making pumpkin cheesecake as my dessert to bring for Thanksgiving.

Do eet! I'm sad every year when we don't have it, but we always have like 6-8 desserts for like 12-15 people already.

Yeah, it never occurred to me to think about the name until I was trying to figure out why it would be bad, and that's all I could come up with.

I love pumpkin butter! Just saying. I've never made it, though. That's brilliant. I think the first time I had it was when my aunt had some from TJ's. So good.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think it's more like kindling ideas.

Isn't the ad some quote about books kindling ideas? I wasn't paying that close attention, but it was something that made me go "oh, that's what they meant".

Fire? Like burning books? It was the first thing that came to mind when they announced the new device. Of course I don' t know what Amazon's intention was but I can't believe nobody there didn't think of the association.

Yeah, they use some quote, I think.

It never occurred to me it would be about burning books -- when I heard "Kindle" the first time, I sort of imagined a light in the dark, like a light to read by. Which is dumb because it isn't backlit, but I didn't know that then.

brillig

I had to think a moment about the name, too, then thought it was just clever, as in what do you get when you kindle something? You get fire. It never occurred to me to think about burning books.

Not that I think the devices themselves are evil or the people who use them! Obviously!
