Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I can't get over the audacity of the offensive name!

I... don't get it. What's wrong with the name?

My sister got a Kindle Fire this week. Seems okay, took me a bit to get used to it. The actual book-reading app is much like the one on my phone; I prefer the interface of my series-1 Kindle, actually.

I too love bacon almost any way: chewy for breakfast, but a bit crispy in a BLT.

Is it like Kendle=kindling to burn those fussy old-fashioned paper books up? I was wondering the same thing, Consuela.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Pretty sure that's a penalty anyway.

I am in favor of the hair. Polamalu! Matthews! What's not to love?

JenP - Nov 20, 2011 9:58:21 am PST #7685 of 30001

No, it's not a penalty. Hair is not considered part of the uniform.

Like I said, I like the hair. Just, tuck it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Just called my mother for the gazillionth time, to tell her another nurse sent her support. Which she did. So I had to.

balance the spoon so the bowl is resting over the glass

Bowl facing up, or bowl facing down?

Bowl facing up is probably best.

You could also do the Bohemian version, which is dip the spoon in absinthe, dip it in sugar, set it on fire, set the absinthe on fire, then add the water to extinguish the flames. It caramelizes the sugar a bit, and is fun to watch.

(I don't get to indulge in the Bohemian version very often. Pete gets That Look.)

Because books.

I loved watching Johnny Depp prepare his in From Hell. So stupidly sexy.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Grimm has some interesting things, but the police work is beyond pathetic.

I tragically only have ONE bottle of absinthe, currently. Buying more/different types is on my list for when I'm employed again.
