::not looking::
I have passed on the mani/pedi information off to my mother. Here's hoping she paints her nails. She's more her with painted nails.
Jilli, I was in a BevMo today, skimming through the minibottles section, and I lit upon Absente. Is it any good?
I just found out that UPS has a service called "My Choice" that lets you:
- Give authorization online for UPS to deliver packages without a signature when you're not going to be home to sign in person
- Get proactive notifications via text, phone, or e-mail the day before a delivery
- Request your packages be delivered to The UPS Store® near you for pickup
- Have your packages delivered to another address
I'm not sure if this is a new feature, or just new to me, but it sounds like it should eliminate my primary gripe with UPS.
Oooh, we love a good product that works. I hope the cut is just as happymaking, Kathy.
ETA: I've gotten a scrape with careless filing, as well.
Honestly, I've had more ouches and grrs with careless filing than the nippers. Possibly because I don't keep my toenails mega short so when they trim and get to flesh, it's darn tender.
She's more her with painted nails.
I hope she at least paints them. It's maybe a little thing to a lot of people but it's important in a self-image way. My toes look just weird naked. And not because feet are weird but because I've painted them for decades. So they should have some color.
Ok, strange memory flash...my mom showing off her pretty toenails whenever she was in the hospital. Her toes were always out from under the covers.
Here is a list of Amazon's sales next week (looks like mostly media/DVDs):
They timed it so all the seasons of Weeds will be on sale at 4:20. Very funny, Amazon.
As a senior in college, I lived in apartment 7H, next to apartment 420. As in, pot dealers lived next door and they had stolen a "420" room number sign from a hotel and stuck it on their door. They weren't bad neighbors, except that their (cigarette) smoking lounge was outside next to our door and I was once awakened by hackey sacking at 3 in the morning (misses hit our door, which was near my room).
I did about 6 loads of laundry in hot water, Mona has been bathed, the floors have been vacuumed. Got Advantage and a hot spot lotion for Mona, who seems to be much more comfy. I love clean sheets, but hate having to make up the bed.

It's new (in the past month, maybe?). When I heard about it I created an account because I was curious, and deleted it an hour later after I'd looked at the options.
It's ridiculous. I hate them anyway, granted, but I did look. In order to use any of the "services" the free version offers, you have to make a request before the first delivery attempt. So the onus is on you, and I think that's bullshit. If they try to deliver to you even once, you are stuck in the same bureaucratic swamp. And I don't see anything that assures me that signing up will spare me their "the driver can still decide to ignore your requests no matter what you say" excuses.
Because I'm cynical, I imagine the version you actually pay for will get better customer service. But it's something like $50/year if I remember correctly. So I would rather just encourage companies to ship via FedEx or USPS.
