Everybody dies, Tracey. Someone's carrying a bullet for you right now, doesn't even know it. The trick is to die of old age before it finds you.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Wikipedia article on the 4:20 reference.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

As a senior in college, I lived in apartment 7H, next to apartment 420. As in, pot dealers lived next door and they had stolen a "420" room number sign from a hotel and stuck it on their door. They weren't bad neighbors, except that their (cigarette) smoking lounge was outside next to our door and I was once awakened by hackey sacking at 3 in the morning (misses hit our door, which was near my room).

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I did about 6 loads of laundry in hot water, Mona has been bathed, the floors have been vacuumed. Got Advantage and a hot spot lotion for Mona, who seems to be much more comfy. I love clean sheets, but hate having to make up the bed.

UPS has a service called "My Choice"

It's new (in the past month, maybe?). When I heard about it I created an account because I was curious, and deleted it an hour later after I'd looked at the options.

It's ridiculous. I hate them anyway, granted, but I did look. In order to use any of the "services" the free version offers, you have to make a request before the first delivery attempt. So the onus is on you, and I think that's bullshit. If they try to deliver to you even once, you are stuck in the same bureaucratic swamp. And I don't see anything that assures me that signing up will spare me their "the driver can still decide to ignore your requests no matter what you say" excuses.

Because I'm cynical, I imagine the version you actually pay for will get better customer service. But it's something like $50/year if I remember correctly. So I would rather just encourage companies to ship via FedEx or USPS.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Well organized, well executed Walk of Shame for UC Davis Chancellor Katehi who authorized police force to remove protesters on Friday.

Total. Silence. Perp walk.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Jilli, I was in a BevMo today, skimming through the minibottles section, and I lit upon Absente. Is it any good?

Absente is pretty good. It's not the ZOMG wonderful stuff, but good. Miles better than Le Tourment Vert or Hills; avoid those two.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So how do you recommend I drink the Absente, oh, mannered Lady?

Oh, that is amazing. I'm so proud of them. I hope she felt the weight of that silence.

brillig

So how is Grimm doing ratings/having-a-future wise? Hubby has become enamored of the show, and I've caught up with it online. It doesn't suck.
