And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

I strongly believe that if a dude said the same thing (like if Hec walked in with Grooves on his resume and posted exactly the same shit I did) he would have conceded and cowered in a corner.

Sadly, this is probably true. It's how it works, right. Dudes have authority. They're also musicians. It makes sense in his head.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

So, my Thanksgiving assignment is veggies and dip. The last time the family got together, my aunt brought Knorr's dip, and I forgot how delicious that is! So I was thinking about some kind of spinach dip, but maybe just the Knorr's kind? And then I found a good-looking blue cheese dip recipe, but is that too much sour cream? Hmmmmm.

Jesse, I've gotten lots of compliments using the Knorr recipe but susbstituting fresh chopped spinach for the frozen variety and adding fresh dill and a goodly amount of cumin to the seasoning.

Art Crawl!!!

OMG. . . that clip of Jimmy Fallon doing Jim Morrison singing the Reading Rainbow theme song is a thing of beauty.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

"It's stirring, not cooking."

I don't think you can really beat the Knorr recipe, but I have substituted yogurt for some or all of the sour cream with noticing much difference. I use frozen spinach, but thaw it in a strainer and squeeze out as much liquid as possible.

It is! I thought the JM thing was pretty funny -- it didn't track as too mean to me. Am slightly concerned that I am callous.

Seeing the new George Clooney movie tonight and dinner out, woo!

Until then, what the hell, Jennifer, you need to pack and do laundry and shit! Stop being lazy! I think I am going to bribe myself by getting coffee out and some food, because I have nothing here. So, twenty minutes to fuel up, and then packing.

Beautiful day out.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Mona and Ruby both became infested with fleas that seem resistant to Frontline.

I am taking everything thing we own to the laundromat, so Kristen went to pick me up some breakfast. I'm so irritated. And itchy.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, that sounds good! But seriously, we were all so excited about the Knorr's the other week, I'm not going to futz with the flavoring this time.

The status is NOT quo.

Allyson, I recently switched to Advantage Pro because Frontline stopped working, for what it’s worth. You might try switching as well. So sorry to hear about the fleas--that is the worst.

Ditto. Frontline got rid of the worst of them on Jack and Zeva, but not all of them, so I Capstar'ed them once a week until I could safely give them Advantage--it's only been a couple of days, though, so I don't have any good feedback on it yet.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Allyson, what Pix said. Arthur got the WORST fleas this summer/late fall.

You, uh, might want to buy some canvas gloves and Kevlar and flea dip them, pre-flea drops, get some spray for your upholstery/carpets, sprinkle salt and Borax on floors (even hardwood) and furniture, let sit for night, and then sweep up/mop, vacuum upholstery/carpets (discard bag) and put collars into a ziploc and stick in freezer for 24 hours.

We had 'em BAD.
