Nope. They don't actually want the Eisenhower era*. What they want is the leave-it-to-beaverized version where the 50s weren't full of massive migrations, racial tension, fear of the bomb, and the rest.

They think that's how birth control works, that all of these "sluts" are taking hundreds of birth control pills every month because they have to take one right before sex.
And they're LEGISLATING this stuff.
I don't understand why they don't know how this works. And people everywhere are HORRIFIED.
It's kind of like, have you ever had an acquaintance that you suspected was sort of a dick, and then you're at a party or something and the person just goes off on a deeply racist/sexist rant, expecting everyone to agree, and you're all just sort of embarrassed for him/her? And you don't know what to do but step away?
