I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

runs out to get marriage equality, celebrate diversity, coexist, and pro-family AND pro-choice bumperstickers for the car.

did I mention here that I bought myself a blinged out rhinestone lanyard holder for my work key card. It is silver and shiny and I loves it.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Congrats, Juliana and M!

I'm grading rhetorical analyses of stump speeches. My favorite one so far says,

Santorum uses another example of rhetoric when he argues that "As family breaks down, we have to build more prisons." This chiasmus says that broken homes make criminals. Santorum's claim is significant because is shows that his logic is kind of messed up. In other words, Rick Santorum is crazy.

They get the format of argumentation, even if the arguments are not quite there.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

In other words, Rick Santorum is crazy.

S/he's not wrong.

True and it made me laugh aloud, but he made a leap in logic (though the evidence is sound) without explanation which is an issue I am working on with my students.

Have any of you looked at the photo archive for the NYT on tumblr? It's [link] I love the pics so much!

My fave is Yogi Berra's hands.

Timelies all!

Congrats Juliana and M!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Random weirdness. I've been communicating with a client about a project and they keep referring to it as the UKIE project, and I know they mean UK and Ireland but in my head I keep feeling like there's some kind of ethnic slur or something going on. Not rationally - just something about the sound of the word that keeps taking me aback.

Swouncing

Oh, juliana! All the best wishes for a wonderful life together for you and M! So happy for you.

(And did you choose the 29th of February deliberately? So that you'll have an anniversary only every four years?)
