Jayne: That's a good idea. Good idea. Tell us where the stuff's at so I can shoot you. Mal: Point of interest? Offering to shoot us might not work so well as an incentive as you might imagine.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

The article definitely seems to be delineating correlation, not causation. There's no claim there that single parent households lead to an increased incidence of abuse, in other words. At least no claim that jumps out at me, but I just skimmed it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Am having BBQ pork for lunch. Every time I take a bite, I need to wipe BBQ sauce off my hands and mouth. Luckily, they have a roll of paper towels at every table.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Let's set aside correlation or causation here with regard to single-parent families because I think I will stroke the fuck out if I have to ponder that...

What I want to know is what this legislation will accomplish. If the point is to fucking shame people for being single parents, then fuck you.

If the legislation is to help provide additional services or support for single parents, then you get applause.

There are all kinds of reasons why people are single parents (or functional single parents) and if they want to shame people, I have no use for you and I hope the good people of WI will vote you promptly out of office.

Because books.

I'd settle for a beer, to be honest. Or just your company, actually. Which reminds me that people should come HERE and visit me, too! For real. Please. Now.

This.

I am pretty sure the Single Mothers' by Choice national organization is stroking out at this guy's proposed legislation.

Oh, and by the way...I hope this legislator isn't against contraception funding because I think I'll have to contribute $$ to whomever is running against him.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Me too, pretty much. Oops.
