Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm not sure I've made soup from scratch, but wouldn't cornstarch or another starch (tapioca, arrowroot) work in flour's place?
Oh, absolutely -- it's just not a new place for gluten to be, is all.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Low-fat refried beans, guacamole, salsa, and chips are totally a valid dinner choice, right? Especially since Pete is off at D&D and partaking in traditional gamer food of Arby's?

Fiber, protein, healthy fats, lycopene. What could be better?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Absolutely, Jilli. I often have nachos for dinner, which are less healthsome.

Whooo, validation! Now to get up the motivation to go make it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

If you put little potatoes in at the beginning they'll cook down to starchy thickener without the need of the other options.

I think you got protein, vegetables and carbs in there. It's a winner!
