I finally met up with my father via Skype. My family who didn't tell me beforehand he was going in for surgery sent me the same picture of him post-surgery three times. In case I didn't notice.
Apparently he wasn't legally allowed to drive without the surgery. I mean, they were going to give him the license anyway, but they shouldn't have, so he had the surgery. Jesus.
Matt,
damn. your accomplishments make me want to cheer and weep. I feel like a slacker.
In the exciting realm of Worlds Collide, Emmett was in his bedroom playing music for Matilda on his iPad and explaining, "This is 'Ziggy Stardust' by David Bowie."
And I popped my head in and told her, "That's the same guy who played the Goblin King in
Labyrinth."
Her mind was blown. Her jaw dropped and everything.
Go Matt!
I just scored 106 points in Words with Friends with Jesse, and I'm still behind.
I can;t WAIT until D and I can scare up some $ to make it to SF!!
Skipping a bit for a meMeME, or, rather, for a himHimHIM: [link]
(There are pictures from over 4 months ago. More were - and are constantly - taken, of course, but I found it difficult to go over some of them from the last few months, because my father in law was in several of them, and his passing away is still too near for these pictures to become a lovely memory rather than a sad one. So, yes, I've just skipped over a few pictures in order to upload the ones that I already did. Repression is a perfectly good coping mechanism, at least for a while, and uploading pictures with short short summer clothes in the middle of winter is way overdue.)
(Also, today is the beginning of the Hebrew month of Adar, which contains the holiday of Purim. The saying about it is, that ever since Adar starts, one should add to the happiness and joy. So I'm doing my part, or at least trying, through one of the most joyous things I can come up with.)
(And now I wanna combine this with the "Princess Bride" quote about the MLT. Oh, well.)
Goodness, Nilly. Your son's getting so big! He has a lovely smile.
Thanks, Calli!
The funny thing is, since those pictures are over four months old, when I look at them, I think "Oh, how much he's grown since the summer! He was so little then".
Babies change so quickly (and the DH wonders when we'll have stop referring to him a baby and change the word to a toddler. At first we thought that it would be when he started talking. But he already says a few words - starting with "Aba", which is Hebrew for "Daddy", but not just that - and he's still a baby, at least IMHO).
Aww. That's an awesome way to start my day.
Nilly! Amitai is so cute! He's got a gorgeous smile.
