Erin, I promise you, even the most sensitive of dogs can handle being a bat or a shark once in a while.
PORK CHOP!!!
Interestingly, there is a 4lb, bossy-pants Chihuahua just up the street that is called Porkchop. Her people are southerners. It's pretty hilarious to hear them calling out to her. (Yes, her.)
Should he come to me, he would not be called Pork Chop, sadly.
Maybe Gurney Hallick...but not Pork Chop.
I'm not sure if the 90s were hit-or-miss for me, or if those photos were just hit-or-miss, but I feel like only 30% or so spoke to my 90s experience.
brenda, my friend Kelly is the best pet owner ever, and her two large lab mixes are SO long-suffering. Ever since they were puppied, she's dressed them up for various holidays, and they are just like "Eh, whatevs."
She managed it for two of her CATS too. I don't even know what hoodoo she do.
Triple Libras with the decorating EVERYTHING. I tell ya.
I am glad there is a Porkchop in your hood at least, bonny. Heh.
M named Arthur when M was little, and still occasionally sings a little ditty he made up called "He's Arthur, King of The Dogs!"
bonny, you will be glad to know that my dog ambivalence has changed and I have taken charge of him. Arthur has gained 6 lbs, is calm for nail clipping, gets supplments for his coat, is doing very well on the lead, sits on command, is calm in the bath and his eating aggression is almost gone.
I am Alpha Bitch. And his nuts go bye-bye in a week, which I hope will calm his hyperactivity. Should have been done when he was a pup, stupid ex.

Go you with the Alpha-ing! I'm certain the dog is much happier.
Remind me of Arthur's breed structure.
Keep in mind that the snip does not bring instantaneous results, calming-wise. It will take 2 to 3 months to flush the hormones from his system. Depending on his natural traits, calm may be a relative term.
Bartleby _hated_ clothes. He tolerated his bow tie but his cold weather garments were a Geneva Convention infraction, to his way of thinking.
I went to ASL class tonight--there's a guy teaching a free class every Wednesday at the Cuff (the leather bar I also country dance at). So much fun--I'm not good at remembering most of it, and should practice, but whee! When at a gay leather bar, you learn signs like "cum" and "queer" and "FAAAAABULOUS!"
How do you put the emphasis in ASL into FAAAAAAABULOUS?
Bigger gestures, campy face!
