Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Where is the wedding, ita? Or does it matter, weather-wise?

Oh, I have no fucking clue.

Push comes to shove I end up in the birdcage dress I didn't wear to the Orthodox transsexual wedding from last year. That covers the portacath fine. I just...I want to wear red, dammit. To the pro tennis interracial lesbian wedding.

I have ducked out of work for the rest of the day. My skull hurts and I want to puke. I need half an hour off now, and that means missing this particular meeting that will piss off my boss, but I canna function, cap'n.

Dude. I want to go to more weddings like ita does. Especially if there are single friends attending....

Because books.

I want to go to a wedding again. It's been a long time. I also really want a baby to play with for an afternoon.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

So, it turns out that my knees can't handle 4 hours of carrying lights up and down stairs. This aging thing sucks. And I've got a lot of ladder climbing to do tomorrow. Oy.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday Laura!

Aurelia, if it helps, I don't think my knees could handle going up and down stairs for four hours. Without lights. Heck, my legs would utterly give out much sooner than that!

Happy Birthday Laura!

Amy, I feel that way too. Also, kittens. But I'm hopeful the planned foster-cat will actually be foster-kittens (there's two weeks coming up I'll be at home all day so could actually feed kittens many times a day, which is apparently semi-unusual--the coordinator was very excited, and my roomie and I are going "OOH! KIT'ENS!"

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I just decluttered my office (for values of declutter that include shoving stuff in a box, but at least now it's ready for 15 minute bouts of sorting) and it already looks so much better it makes me smile every time I walk in there. And I'm walking in there a bunch, because decluttering rewarded me with a bag of sour gummies, which I accept as the Universe's cookies, so I keep going in there to grab a few. I should probably just cook dinner, huh?

Because books.

I would actually like a puppy more than a kitten to play with, but not to housebreak because I have zero energy for that right now. Plus a cat who's peeing in the house neurotically already.

Oh, I fully expected to be sore and tired. I did not expect my right knee to simply say, "No. No more stairs."

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh, speaking of peeing neurotically, the Biscuit's issues cleared right up, suspiciously after going to the vet but before the antibios probably had time to kick in. I dunno, maybe he just likes the vet? But I'm happy the problem seems to be solved, and the Biscuit is happy because he weighed in a little low and is therefore getting extra food and treats.
