Simon: I'm trying to put this as delicately as I can... How do I know you won't kill me in my sleep? Mal: You don't know me, son. So let me explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed.

Happy Birthday kayaking, Laura!

I seem to have sleepwalked to work today, because I am definitely not awake and alert.

I'm not moving to the next round for the job I had applied for AND I've been fucking up my current job! Bad news on both fronts, man.

Damn, that sucks, Jesse.

I got 5 wrong on the Santorum/Megadeath test. (How's that for a slash pairing?)

One finds the most interesting stuff in the global directory. Like the fact that the woman at HQ who has managed to alienate a ton of people and piss off another ton of people, through changing policy via email and not understanding the complexities of either the organization or the processes--she's been sidelined entirely. She used to have a team of people working for her, and she was in charge of organizational policy on some major issues, but according to the directory, she now has nobody working for her. The "direct reports" field is empty.

Time for schadenfreude pie!

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Timelies, all!

So I'm moving my stuff in to the vintage store on Saturday. I keep thinking there's something important I've forgotten to do, but miraculously I seem to have just about everything under control. Part of me is convinced it can't last.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

That's so AWESOME, Holli!

Thanks. You should see my living room, though: it's just a heap of plastic bags full of clothes. Soooooo many clothes. I have over 250 things in inventory.
