I just made soft-boiled eggs more or less successfully, and I'm unreasonably proud of myself.

Nice! They are hard to get exactly right.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Go team competence! YAY

I like Zed, which may be short for Zehbra.

Msbelle should have warned for sound, if only for those of us who are still undercaffeinated.

Last night's Revenge: Taylor's return and death was SO OBVIOUS, but I loved it anyway.

We call all tuxedo cats we see now The (Location of where we see the cat) Mayor after the tuxedo alley cat who rules our alley. He has a number of names but most on the street call him The Mayor. He's quite the handsome boy as is Lee's new guy!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think I will be working from home as well today. I need to be all prepped for the big deal that just dropped into my lap--I need to work out my current complete ability to communicate with my manager. I swear I'm being so damned obvious that my next step is treating people like they're idiots. I'm really frustrated...

Because books.

Since he's a tuxedo, maybe you should name him Bond! James Bond.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

They are hard to get exactly right.

From my point of view, they're never right.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Me too, Lee! [ETA: on Revenge]

My brother's tuxedo cat, a Moscow stray, goes by Vitya. But his full name is Victor Penguinovich.

I love pets with first and last names. And titles! Like "Dr. Chompers."

I swear I'm being so damned obvious that my next step is treating people like they're idiots. I'm really frustrated...

ugh I know this feeling. We have someone on our project (who works for another contractor) who has real reading comprehension problems. And she is a key person on the project. She HAS to understand what is going on. Basically every time she responds to a message she has misunderstood something in it. I take it very personally, unfortunately.
