Because books.

Since he's a tuxedo, maybe you should name him Bond! James Bond.

They are hard to get exactly right.

From my point of view, they're never right.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Me too, Lee! [ETA: on Revenge]

My brother's tuxedo cat, a Moscow stray, goes by Vitya. But his full name is Victor Penguinovich.

Punishingly Intricate

I love pets with first and last names. And titles! Like "Dr. Chompers."

I swear I'm being so damned obvious that my next step is treating people like they're idiots. I'm really frustrated...

ugh I know this feeling. We have someone on our project (who works for another contractor) who has real reading comprehension problems. And she is a key person on the project. She HAS to understand what is going on. Basically every time she responds to a message she has misunderstood something in it. I take it very personally, unfortunately.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Librarian Warlord

My cousins had a Shih Tzu named Tuffy Chewsocki, which I always thought was a great name.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

If I named a cat Zebedee, it would get called Zebedee da doo, Zebedee doo da.

I do enjoy Zebediah.

I speak Spanish to my cats so much that even now mac greets them with "Hola Gatos, Como estan?"

Because books.

For absolutely no reasons I can figure out, Jake and Ben called Switch "Emperor Palpatine" for a while.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Well, thanks for all the insomnia advice, folks, because although I so far have only taken a portion of it, I fell asleep at 1 last night and woke up at 7, and I am actually at my desk, having had a hot breakfast with protein, sorted and started the laundry, and washed the dishes, at 9. It's not competence, exactly, that I'm proud of here, but I will accept basic functionality at this point.

I am still a tad anxiety ridden because I don't know if I start paid lessons back today or not. The store finally reopened its lessons section (they decided instead of just building the practice rooms at the new location, they would put in a coffeeshop. So we've been more or less out of our 2nd job since June.) I am supposed to be starting with four students, two vocals and two pianos, on Thursdays, but there was a mixup with the times, so I don't know if they got it worked out and I'm starting today or not. But I figure they'll tell me if I need to be there. Although I might not be able to get there if I do, with snowmelt today and more precip in the forecast. We shall see, I guess.
