Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Doctor's appointment at 12. I suspect he will tell me there's nothing to be done.

Ah, gotcha. I was actually born in Durham while my dad got his PhD there, but my dad doesn't give a hoot about college (or professional) sports so we never had any allegiances growing up.

Are you still sick, Dana? Can you keep anything down?
Update from yesterday's drama.
After spending most of the morning closeted with the HR person, we did manage to step things back from the ledge a bit. Still, a brutal conversation to have, and while K is going on a "Performance Improvement Plan" next week, I don't know that anything has really been resolved. She was shocked and hurt and a bit defensive, not entirely without reason. I just don't know how this all resolves.
Everything around here is so political anymore, and I'm trying to walk a very fine line of doing right by her, fixing the problem, preserving my own credibility and, hopefully, keeping a good friend. And, you know, doing my day job. Oof.
Sounds very tricky. Good luck, brenda!
BUT! I mentioned yesterday that I got name-checked at a dinner of Very Important bigwigs the other night. It occured to me later that one of those 20 or so people in the room was Roger Staubach. I am totally unreasonably gleeful about that. For no good reason - it's not like he'd likely remember or care or whatever. But still!
