Man, we had a dog where in the dead of winter it would take a good 20 minutes of calling/coaxing/chasing to get her ass inside at night. They should have access to some kind of shelter but generally a few hour stretch won't bother them.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
We once had a cat that was incredibly territorial - no other cat or dog was allowed in her yard. One neighbor had a golden retriever - very sweet, very friendly, not too bright - and she'd sometimes wander over to visit when one of us was outdoors. If the cat saw her ... there'd be this white streak across the yard and the dog would run for her life.
BOOYAH. The bishops can kiss our asses.
So...lunch with the HR Director was...lunch with the HR Director. Apparently I'm not the only one to have thought "exit lunch???" because she gets that it freaks people out. Not that it's changed how she communicates, but there you go. It was only mildly uncomfortable, since I do actually like talking about myself. Also, my family is cooler than your family.
They're just picking names out of a hat, and every week she has lunch with three employees. This week she picked three immigrants--Honduras, The Philippines, and Jamaica. For some reason, the guy who moved here from Honduras wouldn't specify further than "Central America" until he was pushed on it. Yet, he's the one with the most obvious accent. I wonder what that was about? He was also the one talking about the "American way of life" in venerating tones. Filipina and I are all "old school values for the win!"
Remember I mentioned Buffy was pregnant? Here's how they're handling it. So far, it seems well done.
Yeah, The Mary Sue has a post today on that topic as well, ita. Looks fairly promising.
Joss is either shit or the shit. Let's hope this one works out for the latter.

Huh! That's interesting.

One of the guidance counselors at Sara's school does that with the kids.
I have to fill out travel request forms. Two different sets, different charging account, different ways of running the estimate. We haven't even gotten to actually booking, which will be its own special portal to hell.
Going to work out the frustration in the pool tonight.
