Giles, if you would like to get by in American society, then you are going to have to follow our traditions. You're the patriarch. You have to host the festivities, or it's all meaningless.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

What I am shocked by is how extremely terrifyingly thing she has gotten. She has matchsticks for limbs now.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

She has matchsticks for limbs now.

Hence the lyrics, "Burning up, burning up for your love."

Punishingly Intricate

I actually LOVE to hear the sounds of children screaming and laughing and otherwise just happy neighborhood noise. Maybe not at 3 if I am trying to sleep, but it's part of being alive.

Me too!

I just remembered that I put money in a football pool but I have no idea what scores I should be rooting for. For me to win the money.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Man, I tried to do too much today, my choice to be a lazy ass yesterday is biting me in the ass.

I just caught up here and I was not watching the game in real-time until after halftime, but I have caught up now.

Queso is the only dip that got made. Only one outfit for the next week is ironed. And no food for the coming week got made, but I have a salad for tomorrow's lunch. Soooo, maybe I will stay a day ahead all week and do better next weekend.

Thrive to spite them

Since I don't have cable or broadcast I didn't watch the Superbowl or Puppy Bowl.

Will came over and we finished off a Big Bang Theory dvd and then watched some more community. And made plans for the week, tentatively. I may have lunch with Will & his youngest on Tuesday.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I actually think Madonna was perfect for the half-time show -- she really knows how to put on a stadium show. I loved her in concert a few years ago, and I loved her tonight! Just seeing her in pictures and talking made me forget how much I love her.

My parents and I had a delicious Super Bowl party, and I came home after Madonna was done. Perfect!

Also: GO PATS.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

The beginning of the half-time show needed a stargate.

Because books.

All I kept thinking when she came out to "Vogue," with the gladiator types, was that she had seen Luminosity's 300 vid.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I question that, because you know Madonna could have actually paid enough to get Gerard Butler out there dancing if she wanted to.
