Completely off-point, but
The subtext is that pink and glitter contaminate anything they touch [with their dangerous femininity].
I can't speak to pink (outside of laundry), but glitter totally contaminates everything it touches. That shit's like herpes (seemed like a good idea at the time, gets everywhere, can't get rid of it). I may be bitter.
But that's the thing itself, not the femininity aspect.
