I'm sorry, brenda.
Just had a 30 minute tax panic in which I thought I threw out my various mortgage and interest tax forms in today's recycling. Luckily, found them.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

oi, Brenda. That well and truly sucks.
Liese, I like the casita (late to the party).
Hey speaking of that area, I'm going to a workshop in Taos in June - anyone want to school me on how best to get there from Philly, adjust to altitude and generally not bonk like I tend to do when I get off a plane?
It's going to be a lot drier than you're used to, Sox, so prepare to chug water.
so prepare to chug water
Absolutely. Noted.
but no maples and oak trees and I'll be able to breathe, whee! Well, except for the altitude, but I suspect it will be a pretty even swap.
Diana Nyad just fascinates me. She's talking about how even when she has the flu she can't help but work out. I get that.

It is a 2.5 hour drive from ABQ, and maybe an hour from Santa Fe. Taos has an airport, but I have no idea what those fares are like. It's a beautiful drive, no matter. Also, June is NM's bloody hottest month, but it will be cooler at that elevation. And expect massive temp drops at night, so bring layers. The lack of humidity will make 100 there feel cooler, but you'll also misjudge that easily and dehydrate fast, so really watch that. Oh, and sunscreen. Do not forget it. I can get a burn in 15 minutes at anything over 6000 ft. And I grew up at 4000.
And by all that's holy, go outside at night and look up.
That reminds me, I need to check whether the bank has forgotten to send a 1099 for my Christmas club account, or if the interest was so miniscule they're not required to report it.
I got a 1099 from ING for $43 of interest, so....
