It is a 2.5 hour drive from ABQ, and maybe an hour from Santa Fe. Taos has an airport, but I have no idea what those fares are like. It's a beautiful drive, no matter. Also, June is NM's bloody hottest month, but it will be cooler at that elevation. And expect massive temp drops at night, so bring layers. The lack of humidity will make 100 there feel cooler, but you'll also misjudge that easily and dehydrate fast, so really watch that. Oh, and sunscreen. Do not forget it. I can get a burn in 15 minutes at anything over 6000 ft. And I grew up at 4000.
And by all that's holy, go outside at night and look up.
That reminds me, I need to check whether the bank has forgotten to send a 1099 for my Christmas club account, or if the interest was so miniscule they're not required to report it.
I got a 1099 from ING for $43 of interest, so....
And by all that's holy, go outside at night and look up.
this I am so excited about.
Ugh. I did all my taxes and e-filed them two days ago....and got one 1099 for miscellaneous income that I had COMPLETELY forgotten about today. GRRR. What do I do now??
And by all that's holy, go outside at night and look up.
Oh, god, yes. It's the only thing good about getting up at 5 AM on a Sunday to go to work--the stars are gorgeous.
And while the maples and oaks may not be there, don't be surprised if you end up sneezing to scrub oak or sage. I had no idea I was allergic to cottonwoods until I came out there.
Amend, meara! Did you file through a service?
don't be surprised if you end up sneezing to scrub oak or sage
why do trees hate America?
Oh, yeah, the sage really has it in for some people.
My employer doesn't send out W-2s until the last possible moment. So I should get it in a week. Unless the opted me in to the e-W-2 and then I'll be pissed because the reason I haven't is that the damned website incompatible with my browsers on my mac at home, and barely with the IE at work. I hate my employer's website. And their vacation hours.
