Oh, smacked in the noggin with a 2x4 wrapped in velvet. Yeah, that's what it felt like.

hip deep in pie

Argh. There's a transit strike on here and my coworker who was supposed to give me a ride to work tomorrow wasn't at work today. I've emailed her through work email and sent her a message on Facebook, but I am worried that she won't get either message. I don't have her phone number and she's not listed.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm pretty sure Wednesday is just playing when she bats water around. She'll coming running from wherever she is to follow me around when I'm watering plants because that means streams of water for her to bat at. Little freak cat.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

That sounds awful, Brenda.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh, thank you, sarameg. Duly bookmarked. It's very minor right now, if at all. I mean, it's little enough where we go, maybe it's just snowmelt coming in on his paws, or drool? He had one actual accident (on our freshly laundered bedsheets, natch) but that was a miscommunication issue for us, we each thought the other had let him out. So I think for now it's watch and see. But that's good to know for the future.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Just cleaned the kitchen in preparation for the cable guy. That makes sense, right? He totally cares whether the sink is scrubbed out.

Also, I'm a little high on 409 fumes now.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Brenda, that sounds terrible.

Is this a friend you made at that job?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Oh, ugh, Brenda. That sounds horrid.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yes, but we've been working together 5 years now. And she lives around the corner.

Same person from before meara. I thought things had turned around bit may have just been backed into a corner with new developments.

Oy, brenda, I thought that seemed a little familiar. I'm sort it's going that way.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."
