Punishingly Intricate

oh, Brenda, that's horrible.

I think the thing with moving the water bowl is actually cats doing the scratch around the water hole thing wild cats do? Maybe to mark it as their territory? (Bullshit Zoologist!) Uncle Bud has done it since he was a kitten. The bowls are on mats and are heavy ceramic so he can't drag them far now at least.

I have to go walk my friend's big lab in a bit and really I just want to sit on the couch. She's a sweetie though and will be REALLY happy to see me.

Oh god, Brenda, that's so tough.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh that's terrible, brenda.

So it snowed, and I ran around like mad, gathering kindling, refilling the birdfeeders, getting an archery session in...and now it's stopped. I guess it remembered it wasn't in the forecast? Oh well, I have a nice warm fire anyway.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

We have multiple water sources for Miss Kitty and Noodle. I had accidentally let the one in the laundry room go dry and Noodle tried her darnedest to drag it out to the livingroom so I'd refill it.

Because books.

I didn't know cats did that -- Switch doesn't move the water bowl, but he does scratch in front of it before he drinks. He's also famous for taking a mouthful of kibble, dropping on the floor in front of the bowl, and then eating it piece by piece. No idea what that's about.

Thrive to spite them

Dean and Penny both try to drink out of glasses. If I want to leave water out I have to use a water bottle.

Dean used to get bored and knock over glasses and soda cans, but now with Penny he seems less bored.

My previous cat, Anna, loooved to drink from the water faucet and she was obnoxious about it. So I've never let Dean and Penny taste from the faucet. I don't want to deal with that.

Although Penny does run into the shower and lick all the water off when I'm done.

That sounds awful Brenda. Didn't you have to do something similar before? Or was it the same person and they escaped that time? (or just a bad review?)

I am so irked that my head has been killing me all day. But gratified that I didn't have anything major to do, and work from home so I could do the one important thing, and then sleep/stare into space/use hot and cold alternating packs with no relief.

I think the thing with batting at the dish is so they can see where the surface is. Put some rocks in the bottom, they don't seem to do it as much. Least, that was the case with MK and Devi. As MK's eyesight got worse, he got really bad about judging where the surface was and would whack the shit out of the dish.

Liese, there's actually a med that works to help the bladder control for dogs. Let me see if I can find what it is. Wow, that was easy. Here's a link: [link]

Speaking of weird, Loki's shut himself in the cabinet again and is banging the door for fun.

I'm stressing as all shit about my vacation time situation. It's not like I can change the total hours. I might start working extra hours and comping the time. I dunno if that would be frowned on or not. Some people work 4/10s but that's scheduled, not banking hours.

Argh. There's a transit strike on here and my coworker who was supposed to give me a ride to work tomorrow wasn't at work today. I've emailed her through work email and sent her a message on Facebook, but I am worried that she won't get either message. I don't have her phone number and she's not listed.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm pretty sure Wednesday is just playing when she bats water around. She'll coming running from wherever she is to follow me around when I'm watering plants because that means streams of water for her to bat at. Little freak cat.
