Okay, so in today's edition of Buffistas make all my decisions for me, which of these vacation rentals should I go with?
There's the standalone casita (like a cabin rental, but Santa Fe style) which is super cute, private including an enclosed courtyard for the dog, walkable with a little effort to both the Railyard (farmers market) and the Plaza (galleries, museums). But its owner is in CA and there's no pool or hot tub, and only a queen bed.
Or there's this condo which is much bigger and probably nicer, but is a condo, so less private and no place to let the dog run around, limiting what we can do to a certain extent. But there's a (shared) indoor pool and hot tub. It's also walkable from the other direction, at least to the Plaza, but it's on a suspiciously named Hillside Park, which means that it might be a slightly more difficult walk. It's probably not walkable to the Railyard, but it is also closer to the artists' Canyon road.
The condo was much more expensive but they're running a winter sale, plus she said she'd waive the pet fees and...oh, now that I look at it, that quote is wrong. She's only got me down for four days; the tax is much higher than I'd calculated, so the quote is the same as for five days at the casita. Huh.
I really like the casita. But I always go for privacy when I can.
Me too. I do love a patio.
I like the Casita.
I have tomorrow off, yay! It was supposed to be Monday but a meeting got scheduled that I was told I had to attend.
Timelies all!
I know I should cut back on sugar(triglyceride issues), but I'm having a hard time with it.
We once had a cat that didn't like having her water bowl - not both, just the water bowl - against the wall. So when there wasn't anyone in the kitchen, she'd pull the bowl out into the middle of the floor.
Worthington does this too, though I think it's just because he likes playing with the water bowl. So we have to anchor it in place by wedging it in between other pieces of furniture. Many's the catsitter who has underestimated his strength and left the bowl somewhere they thought was safe, only to come back later and find water everywhere.
ION, I sure am glad both M and I got paid this week. Now we can buy groceries again!
The only significant downside to the casita, I think, is the no hot tub. But we could always book time at this Japanese style bath house up the road. If we book a private bath, the dog can come too!
I sent my sister a link to the Bottle Of Wits and her reply was "I know! It was going to be a surprise!"
Did I just bust her on giving me something? The last random gift was an Inigo Montoya t-shirt.
Casita, for sure. Now I want to go.
So, this is awesome. I may have to fire my best friend at work next eek. Actually fire - not being cutesy.
