Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
But the woman just wasn't comfortable and felt like it was "too much" and went back to an ill fitting bra.
That's so depressing. Even an expensive bra is a great cheap way to make your whole wardrobe look better. I'm so pro a good bra.
Sara, that's a dicey place to be in. I...I'd push back. That's not advice, that's just what I'd do in that situation. But I have severe listen-to-me issues when it comes to my parents, and I totally understand the safety net issue also. I'm sure your parents would step forward to help be a safety net, but that's not the point.
And I really, despite mother in chemo, cannot--refuse to try--think about "might be a last chance" with my parents. I'm not mature enough for that.
Wow. That sounds like advice--to ignore me totally.
Speaking of safety nets--I HAVE A CAR. Thank you everyone, for your advice and help. Drew, thank you for your patience when I thought I had a sane schedule. Maria, thank you for the link that led me to what I think is a decent deal, and the chick was pretty calm on the upsell, so I think I did okay. And, Polgara, thanks for the lift out in rush hour LA traffic, and the moral support.
Meep. I have a car. Just have to return the rental, and it's like my life can start again. Is there a form for transfer of automotive affection? I need to stop missing the Jetta and fall for this one.
I'm pushing, they're not hearing. It's frustrating because...well, yeah. OH, car deets! Brother on chat must convey them to him!
Yay for the car.
I couldn't figure out why she wouldn't want a more flattering bra, she wasn't showing cleavage or anything, they were just sitting where they should be.
Sara, I'm sure it's really frustrating when your parents aren't listening to/paying attention to where your life is right now.
I'm more in the - be firm and don't hurt your safety net - camp than go for it.
Really, I feel ridiculous.
Well, the important thing is that you get some nookie with the tour guide somewhere south of Adelaide.
Yay for the car, ita!
Oh, this is awesome:
Newt Gingrich has been using "Eye of the Tiger" at his campaign events (has the man no sense of taste? Even Dean Winchester is aware it's ridiculous!), but without permission!
Love it.
sara, I'm not going to be helpful because I see both sides of the situation. I'm seriously contemplating the same thing this summer (LWOP) because I don't know how many more times I will get to be with my entire family in the same place. It could be Italy or it could be France, but the important thing is that we'll be together. I won't get into the drama regarding this with my current place of employment.
You're conservative with money, which I TOTALLY get, but my inclination is to deal with a little less of a cushion temporarily for what could be the memories of a lifetime.
ita !, congrats! I'm so happy you found something you like that was in your price range. Yay for new car!
'suela, I love a good dose of schadenfreude. I'm thinking that's a violation of SOPA, but of course Newt is special and above that petty copyright nonsense.
I see both side too and that I'm sure is a large part of my ire: I can't wholly take a side and be fucking decisive! Instead, I'm just bent.
