Anyone who flies first-class more than once is rich, by my standards
Hahhha! I fly first class all the time. I am not rich (though I am certainly not poor either). But other than with frequent flier miles, I've never PAID for first class...
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Long gone are the days where my job lent itself towards frequent flier points. Those days were good.
People who get FF points based on personal travel--those I really really envy.
I've only flown first-class once. It was a flight from London to NY, though, and awesome. (The airline had screwed up our reservations, and upgraded us to first class on the return trip to compensate.)
ita !, glad to hear you found something. Cash has more stroke when you're buying a new car because of floorplan and manufacturer-to-dealer incentives that give them more leeway to discount and still make a little money at the same time.
You can still get some concessions for used vehicles but there's less wiggle room. You may have a better shot at getting freebie add-ons like free preventive maintenance or an aftermarket upgrade to the car (remote start, etc.) I don't see why the dealership wouldn't let you put some of the purchase price on your credit card. It doesn't hurt to ask.
Erin, if you did the damage to your credit in college, then it should be off your credit report by now. Negative items only stay on for 7 years (bankruptcies stay for 10), so unless there's been new issues since then, college mistakes shouldn't still be haunting you. You should take a look at your credit report to make sure creditors aren't illegally keeping things active in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. This is true regardless of whether you paid off the debt or not.
Email me if you want some help with this. I did the same thing in college, but I'm in great shape now.

meara is me. I get upgraded 90-95% of the time domestically, and I've been upgraded 2 out of my last 4 flights to Europe because coach was oversold. Delta doesn't do complimentary upgrades internationally, but first moves its frequent fliers up to Business/First (before anyone else) if Economy is oversold.
OK, if works pays for it, it doesn't count. Although I am still jealous.
Maria, I FUBARed myself good in the 2000's, too, so I am still rebuilding. So is D, thanks to wife the first. But maybe there is something more I can do.
But I'mma pull a Scarlett O'Hara, because tonight is for books, TV and perhaps a glittery self mani/pedi.
Tim found a YouTube video of my downstairs neighbor, Edna:
People in the hood dress as her for Halloween. She planted plastic flowers in my succulent and roses garden.

No worries. You know where to find me. I just hate that people are paying for past mistakes when they may not legally be required to. (And D's issues don't affect you in the slightest, unless you have shared debt.)
Is Ruth's Chris high end steak? Isn't high end steak steak I haven't head of? Bought by people who go to Singapore for the weekend not even to run up FF points?
Just listening to Patton Oswalt tear shit up.
