Ruth's Chris may not be 1%er steak, but it's at least an order of magnitude above Sizzler. So it depends on your definition of high end, I'd say.

It's still a chain, but a fairly respected one. You wouldn't go there expecting creativity, just a really good, repeatable experience.

I'm using my new shredder today and I found out the hard way that the release bar doesn't let the bin slide out -- it flaps open the bottom. All over the floor.

Ah well, at least I know how it works NOW.

Hee. There's little shreddies all over my entry floor because I decided that junk mail shouldn't even cross my threshhold and made the shredder live there. Which works, only I don't see it and think about it as often, and so I shred stuff without really checking to see if the bin is full.

It was.

I need to sweep it up, but it's in the invisible portion of the entry, where I can't see any dirt.

In me news, I spent the rest of my gift card on Orly Flash Dry drops, a dollar clearance bottle of nail polish (10 Moonlight? Never heard of 10. It's a puttyish taupey neutral, but I put Sinful Glass Pink over it for the glass fleck sparklies.) and cuticle oil. I was looking for jojoba oil and still couldn't find it, but it's the second ingredient in this, and all the ingredients are oils of, you know, plants. Dunno.

For my second trip to England, I decided to shell out a little bit more and pay for Virgin Atlantic Business Class because it had wider seats. That paid for itself twice over, because on the way over, they offered me a complimentary upgrade to Sleeper Class, which had Very Recliney Seats, lights out, and complementary pajamas and blankets.

Then on the way back, once again I was upgraded to Upper Class, with the bar and the silverware and snacks and drinks and whatnot.

I don't know what I did to deserve it, but if I figure it out, I'll do it again.

That's what is left after the tornados last week, 1/23. Came through around 3 am. Leveled some neighborhoods in the Center Point/ Clay/Trussville/Chalkville area. My brother finally had a chance to drive up to the camp lake, and said some neighborhoods were just a flattened pile of rubble, not even apparent they were once houses. Not sure if he took that picture or not, but he pinpointed exactly where it is.
