I can't decide if I should put in all of the pasta and escarole now, or save it and put it in fresh when I reheat. Because clearly I'm not eating it all right now.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Ooh, I just got a plan -- I am going to put just half in now and then when I freeze some, put the escarole and pasta in the freezer raw, so when I reheat it later, it won't be too overdone.
Do hipsters look like that? Oh. I thought a hipster was an evil monster.
Ahahahaha.
Man, I'm exhausted and the day isn't done.
All I did was get up early and spend 6 hours at a dog show! What's my problem?
The puppy did great: she won her class, so the breeder & my sister are very happy. However we were not allowed anywhere near her before she went into the ring, because she loves me so much that she becomes uncontrollably distracted. Afterwards, though, she got lots of loving and snuggles (and I am now covered with golden retriever hair).
Sad/happy story: the breeder had, among her pile of goldens, a single pit bull. The story was that her daughter had found a homeless person on the street selling a litter of pit bull puppies which were no more than 10 days old. (!! No puppy should be removed from its mother that soon!) So she bought the puppy for $40 dollars, probably saving it from life as a fighting dog or something, and raised it by hand. So now he thinks he's a golden retriever, and competes in obedience with his foster siblings. And his official name is something like "Forty Dollars to Freedom". He was very sweet.
Anyway, I'm beat. Dog shows are fun but I had to get up too early, and now I have to go out and make dinner for my folks. I'm thinking pasta carbonara, very simple.
Dana--I'm glad you solved your problem.
ita ! -- new car yay!
Irish breakfast tea:
It occurred to me at the dog show that, other than skiing, I have rarely been at a public event that was quite so white. Other than one South Asian couple and one or two Asian families, I saw no one in the (quite large) crowd who wasn't white.
I knew that the dog business was predominantly female, but the whiteness was quite startling for the Bay Area.
I will say that media fandom has nothing on dog fandom for ugly chotchkes and badly-designed t-shirts and jewelry...

Aw.
The soup came out good, but kind of tastes like bought. I would make it again, but from scratch.

Heh. Irode in horse shows (Western) when I was young and have been to dog and cat shows. You ain't lyin', sister.
ita !, WOO, almost to new car!!!
I am about to eat leftover butter chicken and watch Bridesmaids. I, um, got an Oscar review copy in the mail and mistakenly opened it without looking to see who it was addresses to. it didn't say OSCAR MAILING or anything; just "Here's your DVD of Bridesmaid's!" I thought I'd gotten on a mailing list or something.
I meant to send it to the person, but it was recycling day, and the envelope...anyway. I guess I accidently committed a felony. (I reallly DO feel wuite guilty about it, but I am going to watch it.)
Spent from wake-up to now working like CRAZY on a project for a client with a really time-sensitive deadline. I've been working on it a lot, so it's not like I was sloughing off (waiting for revisions and input from client, who is a GREAT client, so nice) but I have it all DONE and IN, and I am....DONE and IN for the night. Whew. Merde.
What kind of car?
Blue.
Also 2003 BMW 325i. Which, for some reason, has less than 60K miles.
I'm watching a terrible movie called DOA, and the most startling thing about it is Jaime Pressly handles herself pretty well. If she'd played Sarah in Chuck I mightn't have felt like she was being abused so much. She's still tiny, and everything, but she looks strong for her size, and she's definitely flexible, and segues into the wrestling moves well.
I don't know what to make of this.
eta: Aha! She's a former gymnast (11 years). Makes sense now.
I'm watching the movie where Rob Lowe plays the guy who killed two of his wives. It's so bad, and yet I'm into it.
