I'll be spending something like 80 hours working and being "on." But maybe I can squeak out a waking 48 having fun.
So not budgeted for any playtime, but I can make that up.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Aw, thank you! For both offers. I can probably get work to purchase the laptop bag. Which I'd prefer, because that's the machine I need it for, and it'd be nice to have for that purpose anyway. I need to talk to my friend in purchasing. Also, get them to get the right power cord/adaptor for the power supply. On site, they'll have them available, but I don't think they'll let us take them back to the hotel with us.
And I really have no need for a cell. I mean, given how much I use mine? Hah. If I needed to connect with friends over there, would be one thing. But I'll be staying in the same hotel as the rest of my need-to-talk-to party, and we'll be carpooling out to the site together, so. And with the laptop, have skype.
eta: I have mad rushes of planning followed by lulls of ok, whatever.
sarameg!! So exciting.
What parts of Spain will you be visiting?
Is it just me, or did John Boehner look like he was about to be ill when Obama talked about removing tax breaks for multinational corporations?

Hard to say, his baseline facial expression is low-grade-stomach-flu.
Madrid. It's a work meeting, M-most-of-Friday, but I can probably get one weekend, maybe 2 out out of it. So mostly Madrid. But knowing me, I might just hop a train for a couple hours to land and explore somewhere else too.
I'm excited for sarameg to go on a booty expedition business trip!
Look at McCain sitting there smiling like the Pope. He's drugged, isn't he?
It's work. I'll be on my best behavior, to the point of paranoia. I keep my work and personal life pretty well separated. Hell, I've discovered recently several coworkers, who I've known almost 15 years, assumed I was married or otherwise partnered. Uh, what? Don't I joke about my cat-problem enough?

Or possibly taxidermied.
