Ugh, the worst I have to complain about is too friendly co-workers. Seriously, the PMO made me have aimless chats about people and movies I don't know for half an hour before I got my point in. I'm chatty Cathy, but I like to top out at 7.5 minutes. Well, I guess I have new best friends. I think there's just one project manager left to woo.
The tester asked if she could hit me in the face just as my boss walked by. I love his "No! Exclude me!" face. It's pretty hysterical. I think everyone's high on first day of jeans.
I hope all the crappy people start feeling better, stat. I mean crappy feeling people. You know. Good lord.
Feel better, sick ones.
I think I need to make cornbread.
I'm glad Emmett is within 24 hours of feeling human again.
msbelle, I hope you feel better soon.
Second day back to karate and my shoulder is still feeling good. I'm very happy. Tomorrow I start learning how to use my fans. They make such a lovely wicked sound when they open and close.
I was told to apply for a corporate card and sent the travel forms, and it has been noted that flying out Friday is just as cheap as Saturday, and I might broach flying back sunday, happy to cover lodging that last weekend myself and OMFG I THINK I'M REALLY GOING TO SPAIN AND AM EVEN GOING TO GET TO PLAY TOURIST!!!
I TOLD YOU!!!
And bonus on the corp card. They can pay the foreign transaction fees!
Exactly! And less paperwork in doing expense reports (the only time I've ever done them was to get reimbursed when they flew me out for an interview and moving costs. Which was just gas.) I'm a little at sea, but luckily my supervisor and supervisor's supervisor are also going.
To freak everyone out: not taking a cellphone. I'll have my computer and iTouch (though if I get to stay the last weekend, might send laptop home with a coworker. I have a security cable I will take, but still) if I want to feel all modern. But I'm perfectly content (in fact, preferably content) to travel old-school.
Shit, I need to get a laptop bag. In addition to replacement luggage and a working camera.
