Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

While I'm trawling the Gawker sites...Jilli, is it time for you to renew your vows?

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I hate it when I realize I've failed to finish editing a sentence when I've sent an email that goes to important people.

I mean, it's not that bad, but still. D'oh.

I swear, the editing mistakes in this post are so funny to me now in my time of facepalm.

Damn, it looks like a bunch of my coworkers took off early anyway. Heh.

Maybe I will leave a little early, then. And make PIE.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Wonderful news on the job, msbelle! $$!

Scrappy, yay for Chet! My friends have a labradoodle, and she's the sweetest, most laid-back doggie ever.

Do people here have deliberate face care routines? Like, more than "this is the convenient stuff I use on my face", and more like "this is the stuff that makes me look like this--anything else I've tried makes me break out/greasy/dry/whatever"?

I sometimes remember to wash my face at night. If I wear makeup I take it off with a soft cloth and sweet almond oil. Once I get an appt with a new dermatologist I'll have a new script for Retin-A, and then I will get into a routine of washing and moisturing my face at night before I put on the Retin-A. I don't have a One True Product, but I do like Olay and Source Naturals. I like using coconut and jojoba oils, too.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I randomly put on mascara at Sephora, so now I have to remember to take it off. Or look like a crazy person tomorrow, but I guess no one would notice. Luckily, I have a big free container of eye makeup remover...

Many, many guys on OKC list The Wire as one of their favorite shows.

Okay, some of you guys are women. If a first date mentioned The Wire, would that be a turnoff. If so, why? And note, it wasn't specified what they said about the show. All he specified was "a boy talked about The Wire on a date".

Maybe the problem is that ladies are on dates with boys? I can't work it out.

Unrelated to that triteness, my mother is on her second week of a white blood cell count too low for chemo. I'm really trying to not think about it. Not winning.

Punishingly Intricate

I have used Alba Botanica facial cleanser in the evening and gentle exfoliant in the morning for years. And a Mario Badescu glycolic cleanser once a week (when I remember) and moisturize with Badescu's aloe moisturizer and whatever Badescu eye cream I have a sample of (my friend carries Badescu at her makeup store so I get samples all the time). I don't use anything special for makeup removal, just regular cleanser.

I guess my face looks okay! Who knows?! I break out very rarely at least.

Our wings are not tired.

My immediate estimation of anyone who loves The Wire goes up about 120% from baseline.
