And the thing is, I like my evil like I like my men: evil. You know, straight up, black hat, tied to the train tracks, soon my electro-ray will destroy metropolis BAD.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think my office may be half and half in general, but maybe skewed more toward skirts. Definitely among women who are dressing up -- there are a lot of jeans around as well.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Are slacks predominant working clothes for women who don't have to wear a uniform?

If it's a business/professional environment, just as many women are in slacks or trousers as in skirts. Especially in the winter, I would think.

information libertarian

Pants are definitely warmer than skirts in cold weather, no matter how many pairs of tights you put on. (Signed, I had cold knees on Thursday, between the skirt and the boots!)

hip deep in pie

I am almost exclusively dresses/skirts in warmer weather, pants in the winter. But our work is extremely casual, and not typical of most offices.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have Kat's baked oatmeal in the oven! With rolled oats instead of steel-cut and pumpkin instead of sweet potatoes and pecans sprinkled on top. Smells good already.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Dimora Trial: Puppet's Court Day 2

In which puppets discuss the prostitute the county commissioner was seeing.

Neatorama sez:

What do you do when your news organization aren’t allowed to film the corruption trial of a former county commissioner? Why, bring in the puppets and re-enact that sucker! That’s what Channel 19 in Akron, Ohio did in order to cover the trial of Jimmy Dimora, and I think it’s the best idea to hit the airwaves in a long time.

Who needs to see all those bored, judicial type people sitting around a courtroom hemming and hawing, when you can have fleecy puppet people acting out the whole thing instead?!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My job in Michigan was predominantly skirts, as it was in the companies we worked with. But that was ten years ago.

Still, skirts during winter just the same as summer.

Where I work now, the IT department is pretty much all pants except for me. The CIO and the CEO both wear pants all the time too, but departments like Marketing and HR are much skirtier.

I just found my collection of TV theme music MP3s, as well as most of the Bond theme songs trimmed to 30s. Time for personalised ring tones on the new phone!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I swear I get colder in jeans than anything else. The skin on my thighs will still be cold to the touch after I've been inside for hours, it seems like.

I guess I've totally given up on dress pants, although I still have some in the closet, I definitely haven't worn more than one pair in the last year.

My office is completely unconventional. Everything from suits and ties (though that's usually only for occasions and that one guy) to shorts year round (that dude even has a shorts-tux!) Women run the gamut from early 80s era polyester gym-teacher outfit (srsly, like the Glee coach, but much worse) to some really blinged out silk-dress-suits types.

Eye has moved from bloody painful to just irritating and stressed. I might be able to drive by tomorrow afternoon. Pretty sure I can't handle the computer. Half this post typed with my eyes closed. Only a few shifted characters.

I can't read with one eye closed. The closed eye tracks, which is not pleasant. To read, I have to have both open, but the injured one blocked from seeing. Annoying!

Art Crawl!!!

I like wearing skirts or dresses and think that my legs were actually colder when I wore trousers on Friday than they were when I wore a long skirt with tights on Thursday.

I clearly should have worn tights under my trousers on Friday.
