sara, you can be like Grace. She didn't wear her patch at all today.

Also, WELCOME Samuel and Congratulations Stephanie!

So, Noah's teacher has this teddy bear she sends home with the kids + a journal. We're supposed to write up what we do with Edward Teddy. Then Noah returns it on Monday and picks another kid to take the journal. Noah is the 13th to do this, so the popularity contest is in force (but maybe only noticeable to moms?). Though of course, I may be the only insane-o parent to see which kids had it before Noah. There's only been 2 girls and the rest have been boys. There are 19 kids in his class total.

In turn, it brings out the absolute worst in me. I took of the teddybears pjs to watch them (they had juice stain on them!) and they were falling apart. So we bought him an outfit of t-shirt and shorts. And I can't repair the washed jammies so I just sewed a pair. They aren't well done, in part because I hate doll clothes and I had no pattern.

We also took pictures which I will have to print and a write up I'll have to writes since Noah can't write yet. I love homework for me.

Your competitive streak amuses me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

the others sound kind of gross and possibly dangerous

What's dangerous about the milkshake?

Funny things about that picture:

1. Grace looks like a maniac.

2. She's trying to push Noah back and he's trying to mug forward.

3. He has a scarf on because it was mitten and scarf day for their "snowball fight."

4. The hook Grace is wearing was my Christmas exchange from work. No. Seriously.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

At least I haven't passed out yet. That's my ultimate stupid human trick.

Emmett passed out last week. He'd been flopping on the couch all day, stood up, stretched and said, "Whoa! Head rush!" and then I heard a thump and he was on the floor saying, "What happened? Why am I down here?"

It's a not uncommon thing to happen with teenagers, but it was still odd and he kept laughing about it and saying, "I don't remember it happening?"

"Right," I would reply, "because of the unconsciousness."

You can see the competition when you notice Noah's grip on Grace's arm.

I know! They are nutty.

Is it weird that I think, "I'm glad Newt won. Because at least it wasn't Santorum."
