Kaylee: Can I? Zoe: Sure. He's out, though. Kaylee: He did this for me, once.

'Safe'

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Neil Gaiman just responsed to one of my Tweets. Why does this thrill me?

Thank you for earworming me with the Michelob jingle, Erin!

I live to serve.

msbelle, I jumped into Torchwood having never seen an episode of Dr. Who, just knowing what I know from the Buffistas, and had no problem. There are some in-jokes you miss, but not much. It stands alone very well.

ION, a friend of mine posted a bunch of old college photos to Facebook and I was sucked into finding mine, scanning them and posting them. I have gotten almost NOTHING done today, except a load of laundry. And now it's night, and I don't want to go to the grocery store.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

while watching Castle I entered the stack of receipts I had. So that is a cleaning task done.

Now to watch Bridesmaids.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So, soda jerks are the new bartenders?

Apparently most old fashioned soda jerks were ex-bartenders put out of business by Prohibition. So yeah, they're basically taking the current mixology thang and putting it to use on the ice cream and whatnot.

They've got bergamot extract. I wonder what you'd use that with? They've got 75 house-made tinctures. I'm going to have to investigate that.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My major accomplishment today has been clearing out two big boxes of stuff that turned out to date from 2009 and 2010. I found info on my security system and my (not-so-new-anymore) new car that I knew was around here somewhere, but seriously? Papers and catalogs and crap from *2009*? Clearly I just shoved it out of sight and it went out of mind. Realizing that it's taken me three years to dump the contents of those pretty leather boxes in my dining room makes me feel like I must be mentally unbalanced or something. Jeepers.

And now, of course, Leo the Cat is sitting in one of the now-empty boxes looking around like, well this is nice.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My major accomplishment today has been clearing out two big boxes of stuff that turned out to date from 2009 and 2010.

Oh yeah, I've definitely done that. Not sure that box is actually all the way empty now, either. Oops. Maybe later?

I just made basically the same brussels sprouts and craisins thing I did with pasta the other week, except with farro and walnuts. Delish!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Me, too, and it does. Then I stopped watching because it was ALL PAIN ALL THE TIME and it was really upsetting me. Even the prospect of naked John Barrowman didn't draw me back.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I am sitting in a stupor in the living room while my children disassemble the house around me. It's been nonstop action -- a trip to the central library on the train, dinner at Great Harvest and a nice trip to Target and Michaels for Valentine's Day stuff.

So tired now. And vaguely vomitty.

Amy - Jan 21, 2012 2:53:10 pm PST #17667 of 30001
Because books.

Oh crap, Valentine's stuff. I have to think about that for Sara. Yay.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Only 2009?
