I will echo Amy! And wee!Jesse looks just like cowgirl!Jesse!
My mom dressed me in overalls and turtlenecks and corduroys, and all I wanted was to wear dresses. I really wanted a black velvet dress, but she thought little girls did not wear black. What do I wear almost every day of my life-- a black dress! My mom so wanted me to be a tomboy, and then I had her making me Laura Ingalls Wilder prairie dresses, which is what I wore to play outside after school.
A perm? She chose to have hair like that? Oy.
I am watching House Hunters International....vacation house in Fiji. Maaaaan, I want! But I can't figure out why, if they only have a three bedroom house at home (and four kids), they aren't just getting a nicer place at home, rather than planning to truck the whole family to Fiji repeatedly!
A girl my age had Hee Haw overalls in the third grade. They were ... something.
I don't remember much about my childhood clothes. No idea if that's good or bad.
I love your mom's smile, Jesse. So cute. (You're cute too.)
I distinctly remember having double knit slacks with the alphabet on them. Oh the 70's!
Today I was trying to figure out why so many decisions in my grown woman life were based on not "getting into trouble" and realized I have the weirdest spotty memories of my childhood. For example, one of the only things I remember that I know took place before kindergarten was that Julie on Days of Our Lives was burned and holed up in a cabin where Doug could not find her, and she was pregnant. I can totally picture her burn makeup.
Amy, I had those. omg I want that fabric back to make a skirt.
I am now trying to find images for mac of what his hair will look like if it keeps growing.
I just paid off what was left of our debt, well not all the debt (hides the 38,000 still left on the mortgage under the rug), but all the consumer debt.
