Hey, I've been in a firefight before! Well, I was in a fire. Actually, I was fired from a fry-cook opportunity. I can handle myself.

Librarian Warlord

I'm so glad you found Dita, Lee!

ION:

The Obama administration said Friday that health insurance plans must cover contraceptives for women without charge, and it rejected a broad exemption sought by the Roman Catholic Church for insurance provided to employees of Catholic hospitals, colleges and charities. >[link]

Well, now . . .

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Anybody know when that goes into effect?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Most insurers will have to comply by Aug. 1, but the administration said it would give these nonprofit church-affiliated employers an extra year to come into compliance.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If I asked you for times you and your coworkers were available so I could set up a meeting, do you think that sending me a list of days with no times is useful information?

I'm trying to puzzle that out. But in the meanwhile I asked for them to be explicit instead of throwing proposals back and forth. It's not like setting up meetings is fun. Why must you prolong the process?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

The Obama administration said Friday that health insurance plans must cover contraceptives for women without charge, and it rejected a broad exemption sought by the Roman Catholic Church for insurance provided to employees of Catholic hospitals, colleges and charities.

From the bottom of my devoutly Catholic (I'm coming to realize, less and less Papist with every passing minute, but still pretty fuckin' Catholic) heart, THANK YOU OBAMA ADMINISTRATION. Also, EAT IT, OUT-OF-TOUCH-WITH-THE-LAITY HIERARCHY.

Sincerely,

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Sophia, go with your gut! Your senior may be able to recommend you a good junior for the position. At my old job we got a string of great interns that way.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Man, my internet connection is for shit today. Why is that? It's because they want me to work, isn't it?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

sarameg, when I was trying to reserve a hotel room in Barcelona last fall, my credit union gave me some difficulties. I had to call them to get the charge cleared, and then tell them exactly which days I'd be in Spain so I could use a credit card there. Apparently there were some concerns about card/number stealing.
