this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Trader Joe's new product alert: dark chocolate bar filled with speculoos. I got one at lunch (for Tim, since I assume speculoos, being made from cookies, is not gluten free [I will, however, try a bite]).

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Lunch: a bowl of Bacon, Cheese, and Beer soup from Whole Foods.

OOOOH. I will have to look for that (once my Trader Joe's gets restocked from the ice storm we're having)

I want THAT. Wow, that sounds amazing.

Yeah, ice storm. Tho' here in the Greenwood lowlands, it's pretty much snow. Lots and lots of snow. Pete says it's the snow demons honoring my Mom's memory, which is a nice thought.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I guess I should try Astrid. I'm always turned off by any app that wants me to share. Also, I'd have to keep my phone in front of me. These days the cool kids are not designing for people who sit at home at a desktop all day.

I have looked in Lifehacker extensively, and mainly came away with a reminder of how much I loathe the current layout. The problem is that all the programs want to do everything. I use Evernote, but it doesn't have easy reminders. I have a time tracker I like, but I don't want to schedule every moment of the day, although it may come to that.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

any app that wants me to share

Share what with who? I've been using Astrid for a few months, and it's doesn't want me to share anything that I can think of. I mean, other than my tasks, with it, which seems within default purview.

[link] is less disgusting. But I suspect, from my conversations with support, it's not long for this world.

Whoa. The Feds just shut down Megaupload.

The heat is on.

Whoa. The Feds just shut down Megaupload.

Wow, seriously!?? Geez.

Okay, the consultants sent back their visit finding document, and they've used documentation I created during the engagement to present to my boss as one of their sources. No one's going to recognise that but me, but come on! Of course I'm going to read it.

I know mirroring is prime NLP and PUA material, but, hello.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Astrid does have a web interface, although I'm unclear on how the prompting would work using that strictly. And while it calls itself "social productivity" I don't use any social aspect of it at all.

Okay, I did good for lunch today because Noom told me to log a healthy lunch and I didn't want to not be able to tell it, so I had spaghetti squash. And then I just ate more of the sauce, because it is chunky and delicious. But yay, all veggies! And a little butter and parmesan, but I'm going to go with yay overall.
