If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Darby never asks those kind of tough questions.

(Though she did come out of her room looking Very Concerned when the cat was being axe murdered having her nails trimmed.)

You are totally not an impostor! I've met you, and you are you, and you should be sent to Spain. Stat! Or, you know, in the Spring.

I've always coordinated from stateside when we have these meetings not!here. And I know my boss is trying to position me for more projects, less daily ops, more leadership (something I am totally on board with.) So this is a part of that. The last year or so has been deadly, because all I've been doing is fighting fires (sometimes literally,) not really advancing. I've just been needed a lot in spells such that I haven't been able to start anything new because then something else blows up. So I'm fighting against that mental space.

Wow. Writing that out... explains a lot of the weird headspace I've been in this past fall. The firefighting died down, but I was still at alert status. And felt futless as a result.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Reading it made me think even more about how I need a new job. I got burned out on fires and am now just treading water. Oy.

Yeah, sorry? It is hard to break out of that mode once you get into it. It's a special work ptsd.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The good news is, I have a call with a recruiter on Friday. For a job I probably don't want, but we'll see.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Heh. I wish I could find a recruiter. I'm more and more convinced that my current place of employment is not somewhere I want to be for long. I am not a fan of how they do business.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Ugh, Maria. I know you weren't super-enthused about it, but I'm sad that it's turning out to be all you thought. Which is crappy.

ION, does anyone have Skype and want to hop on it for a new minutes so I can make sure my new Skype addy for my biz works. And also that the computer is working.

I need a schmancy new computer. And a pony and a hot tub.

Also? SARAMEG GO TO SPAIN!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Tom, I love your photos. Also, that house in Yosemite? I want it. If I ever build a house, it'll look like that.

Aw, Lee.

Wow, sarameg and Jesse explained my problem to me.

sarameg, you should go to Spain. BECAUSE.
