hip deep in pie

We had snow on Thursday, Rain on Friaday, and now it's bitterly cold, but almost no snow. I can take winter like this.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

We have snow! (AIFG.)

The snow was fun. I got to find out how well the traction control of my Focus works while driving on Sheridan on Friday.

It works pretty well, but I can really tell when it kicks in. (The front end was sliding wide, and all of a sudden it tucked in.) This is the first car I've owned that has ABS and traction control.

The snow covering my bumper did knock out the rearward sonar thingies, so I backed into a tree while parking at work. But I was going slow, so no damage.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yay for the msbellest!

We are expecting snow tonight, but not until after midnight. This has caused a good bit of deep contemplation on my part because it means I need to haul firewood today as my woodrack is empty. But it's muddy out there and I didn't sleep well last night (in fact I'm just up, thank goodness for holiday weekends) and I just doanwanna.

Have the nicest birthday, msbelle!

The status is NOT quo.

I have so much around-the-house stuff to get done, yet I've been having the hardest time motivating myself to do any of it. I know myself well enough to know that the only thing that will work is just starting, but I'm such a contrary creature that anyone telling me to start makes me want to dig in my heels and say no no no no like a three-year-old. This is why I am never going to be a grown up.

I had been wondering why the mall and Target were deserted. Oh yeah, game day. Good thing I didn't plan on going downtown.

I tried to find a replacement camera and some shoes this morning. I failed in all my ventures.

I could clean up clutter. I don't wanna.

The status is NOT quo.

I am also overwhelmed by the sheer scope of what needs to be done. Coping mechanism fail.
