Ok. We got out of the house, made to the last half of ballet and then picked up Em's BFF who is now totally asleep in Em's bed. I am CRACKING UP.
Joke's on me. Em's BFF slept until 4:00 and even then only woke up because Em woke her up. I took her temp. Eff eff eff. 101.9 in one ear, 102.5 in the other. Le sigh.
Called mom and dad and they'll be here in a bit. I've administered NSAIDS, chicken noodle soup, and orange juice to BFF and hugs and promises to reschedule the sleepover to Em.
Total clusterfuck, thy name is Today.
Okay, I hope everybody saw the temperature at game time there.
I just learnt what a tontine is. Excellent! A brilliant setup for killing everyone around you. I'm trying to work out if I read about/seen tontine-like scenarios in fiction, and how much you can play with it.
Definitely in Archer, and I'm sure I've read about them elsewhere, but I do enjoy old detective stories.
I just learnt what a tontine is.
Have you watched the Archer episode "Double Deuce"?
Damn, that was a big hit.
Takeaways are the 49ers only chance, but they can't march it downfield like Brees just did.
They're saying Pierre Thomas was knocked out. Not good.

SACK! Couldn't recover the damn fumble, though.
I learned about tontines from Barney Miller when I was pretty young. It makes me feel smart every time I am having them explained to me in a new fictional setting, because they do make for fun times in murder mysteries.
