The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Perkins? do you need direction today?

Yes! but not until later this afternoon. This morning has been errands and cleaning and some shredding, and Juliana is showing up soon for a home depot run and then I/we come back here to pack.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

You have to have several corgis together, like the Queen, right??

Yes! Because then in an emergency they can combine into the one mega-corgi, CORGITRON.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Shredded! Phew.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I am being super lazy. Still in pjs, back in bed with dog. Need to get up, get dressed, plan menus for week, pay bills, go to the pharmacy...

But Frankie just grabbed my arm with his paws and pressed his forehead to it. DAWWW.

Oh, I did also apply for that job this morning, with a half-assedly updated resume.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I woke up early with the kids today, took D to swim class (not surprisingly after 2 weeks off, the kids were flailing around and acting silly but towards the end of class they seemed to have remembered most of what they'd learned before Christmas), came home, fed everyone, then biked to the playground with A, came home and am now finally vegging out on the couch with some much needed tea.

Kidless folks, treasure your weekends. (Kidless folks who eventually plan to have kids? TREASURE THEM EVEN MORE.)

That's right! I'm not being lazy, I'm treasuring my weekend.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

The dogs woke me at 6 but I managed to stay in bed until 7. Then I walked them 2 miles, fed them, cleaned the kitchen, ate breakfast, read the paper, started bread, vacuumed the house, cleaned the dogs' ears, and tried to train the puppy to come to me when I call her. (She will not.)

In a minute I will punch down the dough and shape the loaves.

I should be reading Christopher Isherwood.
