Smooth sailing ~ma for your sister tomorrow, Cash.
'Out Of Gas'
Natter 69: Practically names itself.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Jesse, I did not, sumi was mailing me the first, if she hash't yet, the 2 would be awesome.
Perkins, look for boxes out for pick-up, or stores with dumpsters out back as you go to the new place. Stop and get any and all boxes on your way back. If you do not have many many rolls of packing tape or clear tape on hand get some while you are out. Something to possibly get is heavy duty garbage bags.
If you are not leaving for your place RIGHT this second, put the following into a bag and take over there: toilet paper, cleaning rag, all-purpose cleaner or cleaner-wipes (whatever you have, an extra or almost empty bottle would be best), a few pens/pencils, notepad, measuring tape, any loose hangers you can easily grab, plastic containers that can serve as cat bowls.
Perkins, this weekend is all slammed, but would you like some help next weekend? And Monday the 16th is MLK Jr Day, so I could come down and help then. When I get good and going, I'm a packing MACHINE.
I'm actually set pretty well for boxes--I've been nabbing them from work. I also bought a huge package of packing tape from Costco the other day.
My problem is that the boxes aren't filling themselves.
I can get one box packed before I head out though, plus I have a few bags of stuff I can take over.
Assuming I can get myself motivated off the couch.

Sure! I have to spend Saturday afternoon at the house waiting for PG&E and the Security people, but I will be packing all day on Sunday and Monday, which I also have off.
Dana - I know! (re: J. Renner)
Perkins - 13 days: argh.
much ~ma to your sister and baby, Cashmere.
Re: J. Renner- when I clicked on ita's post I expected it to be about Elijah Wood, because Dana still equals Elijah Wood to me.
Re; Packing- this is pretty much why I don't want to buy a house.
(Don't get me wrong, Perkins, packing is clearly The Worst. But new places are the best!)
Hey, sumi, did you send msbelle the book yet? I can do it today if I get to the PO by 2.
Oh, and ION, I think I just found an awesome job to apply to, but now I'm scared. I wasn't really going to be looking just yet.
It's a lovely warm sorta-sunny day. Feels like spring. Got the windows open. Cats are happy.
Dude down the street is wielding power tools, as he must. I'm surprised his trees have any limbs left. The person who owns the property across from me seems determined to cut down all the trees.
Packing IS AWESOME.
Perkins, post when you get back and we will do pack and post. To take over, throwing clothes in a suitcase or duffle is an easy way to get whole drawers over.
You might also want to grab a thing of soap and a roll of paper towels and a hand towel or two. Always good to have in a new place before everything else.
Oh I wish I was nearby, a moving day would totally pick me up today.
Let's definitely plan on Monday, then.
