I'm actually set pretty well for boxes--I've been nabbing them from work. I also bought a huge package of packing tape from Costco the other day.

My problem is that the boxes aren't filling themselves.

I can get one box packed before I head out though, plus I have a few bags of stuff I can take over.

Assuming I can get myself motivated off the couch.

Perkins, this weekend is all slammed, but would you like some help next weekend? And Monday the 16th is MLK Jr Day, so I could come down and help then. When I get good and going, I'm a packing MACHINE.

Sure! I have to spend Saturday afternoon at the house waiting for PG&E and the Security people, but I will be packing all day on Sunday and Monday, which I also have off.

It's a lovely warm sorta-sunny day. Feels like spring. Got the windows open. Cats are happy.

Dude down the street is wielding power tools, as he must. I'm surprised his trees have any limbs left. The person who owns the property across from me seems determined to cut down all the trees.

Packing IS AWESOME.

Perkins, post when you get back and we will do pack and post. To take over, throwing clothes in a suitcase or duffle is an easy way to get whole drawers over.

You might also want to grab a thing of soap and a roll of paper towels and a hand towel or two. Always good to have in a new place before everything else.

Oh I wish I was nearby, a moving day would totally pick me up today.

Bah, must get moving. The beasts woke me up at 6AM--don't they know it's Saturday. But I have walked & fed them and had breakfast and tea.

Today I'm going to spend time with my folks, explain that we're hiring new help for them who will start this week, suffer through an hour-long argument which will be repetitive and painful, and then go have drinks with a friend to de-stress from dealing with my mother. Joy.

Still, I think it's awkward and would write in my own words: I was part of group consisting of seven members: (listing the members).

Anyway, I don't think "I was part of a seven-member group" is awkward, but if you want to re-word it to list the members, then the way you re-worded it is fine.

I would fly out and pack for you, Perkins, if I had someone to take care of the kids. I am so good at packing! Especially for other people. Maybe msbelle and I should go into business together. I can run the East Coast office.
