Oh, Sophia, I might have Mockingjay in paper if you want it?

I saw a beautiful Jag in a nearby parking lot today with the license plate "MS BELL". If it weren't for the misspelling, I'd ask if msbelle had relocated and wanted a Trianglistas get-together.
Turns out that Metro bought "organic" brake pads which, when used, smell like rotten fish. They bought something like 10,000 of them
Ewww, indeed. Bulk buying isn't always your friend.
Thanks Jesse, but I can totally get the kindle edition. It just seems weird to own only one, since I borrowed the others and doubt I will reread.
Also- one book per day is too much! But I can recommend this book [link] which I got from the library. It is not YA, but contains a young adult.
So last night Dylan and I had another long conversation about how he wants to be Christian. Oy vey.
(I'm pretty sure this is coming from his best friend talking about being in his church pageant over Christmas, and listening to "Open Up The Window Noah" and that other song about how the unicorn got left off the ark - who knew kid-friendly folk music could lead to such heavy duty conversations??)
He also asked me to "tell him the Bible" last night at dinner. I said it was a really really long book and I didn't know the whole thing, and he said "Well just tell me the part you know." Smart-ass kid.

I hear you.
"Well just tell me the part you know."
Heh.
Aaaaaaaaaaaand according to DH, he was listening to Assault on Reason on his iPod this morning. HA! That'll teach you to ask about religion at the dinner table, kiddo!
(*His* iPod still needs to be taken to the Apple Store for a new battery, so he's got the old iPod classic which has our entire household library on it. Which means sometimes he's listening to TMBG singing about numbers, and sometimes he's listening to the Virgin Suicides soundtrack.)
Happy Anniversary, Pix and ND!
My doctor's appointment this morning revealed that I'm down 24 lbs. from the high I'd hit in late summer (and about 4 lbs. over the plateau I've seemed to stick at even with strict Atkins dieting since about 2004). So it's not just wishful thinking that my clothes are looking better on me.
Although I assume the polgara demon is nothing like Polgara.
You haven't spent quality time with her.
:-P
Also, the closet wasn't locked. But, ita is right, the gun wasn't loaded.
Polgara should come here and have a board gaming weekend with me.
I think in addition to a book club, I would really like a board game night club since my kiddo doesn't like to play them.
Way to go Matt!
sumi, I will send you my address, thanks.
Not my vanity plate, and I would not own a Jag. But seeing everyone would be fun.
Today I drove a friend to bail her wife out of jail. She had 2 unpaid tickets and was driving a car that is overdue for registration and inspection sticker updates. Good Gravy. I wish they would let me do a financial budget intervention with them, but I don't think it would fly. I am really good at crisis management though, really good at it for other people. I need a me for me.
